What is Castrum?

Castrum is a cryptocurrency wallet used to interact with the Planq Network and other blockchains. It allows users to access their wallets through a mobile app, which can then be used to interact with decentralised applications or self-custody assets.

Is Castrum safe?

Castrum is secure if used correctly. Users should be aware of phishing attacks and always verify they are on the correct Castrum app. Never share your secret recovery phrase or login information with anyone.

How do I create an account?

To create an account, download the Castrum app on Apple or Android, click on "Get Started," and follow the instructions to set up your wallet. Ensure you back up your secret recovery phrase. You can create a wallet or import an already existing wallet.

How do I reset my password?

If you forget your password, you can reset it using your secret recovery phrase. Simply click the reset password button, create a new password, select "Import Wallet," and enter your recovery phrase. If you used social login to create your wallet, simply make a wallet with the same google or apple id.

What is a mnemonic phrase?

A mnemonic phrase is a list of simple words used to secure and access your digital assets. It serves as an easy-to-read alternative to complex private keys and can be used to recover multiple wallets. Losing your mnemonic phrase can result in the loss of your funds, so never share it with anyone. Castrum support will never ask for your mnemonic phrase.

I lost my Seedphrase, can Castrum help me recover it?

No, we have no access to your seedphrase, or any way to help you recover the wallet and funds.

Can I have multiple accounts?

Yes, you can create and manage multiple accounts within Castrum, there is no limit on how many accounts you can create or import. Please note that if you want to create a wallet with social login, this can only be done when first downloading the app.

How do I import an existing wallet?

To import an existing wallet, you need your secret recovery phrase or private key. Open Castrum, click on ‘’account 1, click ‘’import account," and enter the required information.

How do I send and receive tokens?

To send tokens, click on "Send," enter the recipient's address, the amount, and confirm the transaction. To receive tokens, share your public address with the sender. Add contacts to the ‘’contacts’’ feature to have a faster way to send tokens, eliminating the chances of mistakes.

How do I connect Castrum to a decentralized application (DApp)?

To connect to a DApp, open the DApp browser in the Castrum application. Castrum will prompt you to connect. Review the permissions and click "Connect."

What are gas fees?

Gas fees are transaction fees paid to the network for processing transactions. The amount of gas you pay determines how quickly your transaction is processed, how many people are using the network and the settings of the blockchain in question.

How do I manage tokens?

You can add and manage tokens by clicking "Add Token" in Castrum and entering the token's contract address. Token ID’s may be hard to find, and are found on different places for every blockchain. If you need any help we suggest to ask help in the Planq Telegram or Discord.

How do I recover my account?

If you've lost access to your account, you can recover it using your secret recovery phrase. Click on the forgot password button and use the ‘’import wallet’’ function.

How do I contact support?

For support, visit the Planq Telegram, Discord or email [e-mail].. Be cautious of phishing attempts when seeking help. Never give anyone your seedphrase, not even someone claiming to be a part of Castrum or Planq.

How to stake assets to receive interest on Castrum?

Click on the little piggybank icon on the top right and choose a validator to stake with. Choose the amount you want to stake and click on stake

How to unstake my assets on Castrum

click on the little piggybank icon on the top right and navigate to the ‘’delegation’’ page. Click on the validator you want to unstake from and choose the amount. After 21 days, the tokens will be sent back to your wallet.

What is an IBC transaction?

Blockchains built with Tendermint can easily connect and work together because they share the same communication and consensus methods. This allows different blockchains and their tokens to be interoperable, even with unique applications, providing maximum flexibility. IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) enables these blockchains to securely exchange information and assets. Some popular chains that you can send your $PLQ coins to are Osmosis, Archway, Cosmos hub and Source Chain. I want to connect my Ledger device.
